The Ropemakers Open Mic was due to return this evening (Wednesday) but has been cancelled.

Organiser Chris Deacon said: "After consulting with John [landlord at The Ropemakers] we've sadly agreed to postpone tomorrow's open mic.

"I'm still unwell and physically unable to run the session, but more importantly I have no clear diagnosis, but it's bad enough that I don't wish to pass it on to any of you.

"Sorry if it's upset your plans but safety takes precedence."

The open mic nights take place on the first Wednesday of each month and are hosted by Chris Deacon.
