Part of West Bay Road will be closed for almost two months while Wessex Water carries out works.

The closure will be in place from November 2 at West Bay Road's junction with Wanderwell and its junction with Roundham Gardens in both directions – a distance of around 130 metres.

The closure order will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by December 24.

It will enable Wessex Water safe access to rebuild three manhole chambers incorporating over pumping.

The alternative route, which will be signposted, is the B3157, Station Road, West Bay Road.
