Ahead of its much-anticipated official opening next week, we were treated to a tour of the new activity centre, Seals Cove.
The building on St Andrews Trading Estate has been - and continues to be - transformed into a child's dream. But it's just as much for adults.
There is a climbing wall offering lead climbing, rope climbing and auto-relay as well as a huge soft play area and impressive slide.
Both of these have been completed and will open to the public on June 27, along with a party room overlooking the soft play and eating area, which boasts a large area for family and friends to meet up, bar, beautiful large sofas and the highlight, a sound activated colour wall. There is also an area for refreshments for people using the climbing and soft play.
The response has already been huge on social media, as well as numerous enquiries for children's parties.
The team will be ensuring a strict number of people who can use the facilities at one time, and the reception area is fitted with thermal heat imaging and an electronic count of how many people are using it. There is also anti-viral air conditioning.
With its nautical theme there are so many incredible features - beautiful artwork throughout, a rope ceiling as you come in, flame effect lights and a whole host of beautiful finishing touches you never would have thought of. So much effort has gone into it that it's no surprise it has taken some time to open. This is also coupled with delays due to Covid.
The team has already created something very special, bringing a much-needed facility into the town, and there's still more to come.
In phase two, there will be an extra activity room, for which they have bought a caving system, a rifle range which will use air soft and be fun for all the family, a boat bar which will go at the back of the building for people to enjoy drinks and nibbles by the river and additional party room.
A 180-seater restaurant and the biggest kitchen we have ever seen is also currently in construction.
There are also areas where they are not yet sure what will be going in - so watch this space.
General manager Tess explained that they are looking at around six months for phase two to come into fruition.
She added: "It's been a four-year project, Covid has got in the way… there was a bit of a delay.
"It's been an absolutely colossal effort from some really great local tradespeople and everything we've done, we've tried to make a little bit special, to really try and make it something special.
"I'm hoping people see that and realise why is has taken such a long time - it's worth it and is something quite special."
