Police are appealing for witnesses after a laptop was stolen from a home in Melplash

A laptop has been stolen from a home in Melplash and police are appealing for witnesses.

Between 11am and 3.30pm on Friday, December 4, a home in Beaminster Road was broken into and a laptop was taken.

Police Constable Michelle Day, of West Dorset police, said: "We are carrying out a full investigation into this burglary and I would ask anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the vicinity to please contact us.

"I would also urge anyone who was driving in the Melplash area during the relevant timeframe and has dashcam fitted to please check their footage for anything relevant.

"Local officers will be increasing patrols in the area and can be approached by members of the community with any information or concerns."
