Police investigating after man reportedly threatens Bridport pub patrons with knife
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man reportedly threatened Bridport pub patrons with a knife.
At 10.25pm on Friday, September 8, officers were called to The Greyhound Wetherspoons pub on East Street to reports of a man who was reportedly in possession of a knife and had made threats to others.
A 28-year-old local man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and threats to kill. A knife was seized. No one sustained any injuries.
Detective Inspector Rhys Griffiths, of County CID, said: "We have already spoken to a number of people who witnessed this incident in a bid to establish the circumstances. As part of these enquiries I am aware that there were other people who saw what happened and I would ask them to please get in touch with us."
