Police report number of thefts and incidents of vehicle crime in Bridport area

Police are appealing for information after a number of recent incidents in the Bridport area

A number of thefts and incidents of vehicle crime have taken place in the Bridport area in recent weeks.

Police have reported the following incidents:

Theft from vehicle – a purse containing an amount of money and cards were stolen from a black coloured Mitsubishi Shogun parked at Foreshore car park in Lower Sea Lane, Charmouth, sometime between 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Sunday, May 21 (incident number 55230082451).

Theft of animal feed – five bags on animal feed were stolen from a caravan on a smallholding in Halstock, near Yeovil, sometime on Tuesday, May 28 (incident number 55230082515).

Handbag stolen – A handbag containing money, reading glasses and a pair of Apple Air Pods was stolen from a bench located on Hive Beach Road, Burton Bradstock, near Bridport, between 2pm and 2.30pm on Monday, May 22  (incident number 55230082546).

Break-in to vehicle – A white coloured transit van parked in East Road, Bridport, was broken into and a number of tools were stolen sometime between midnight and 9am on Sunday, May 28 (incident number 55230085066).

Damage to motor vehicle –  The driver's side window of a grey coloured Hyundai, parked in Higher Street, Bridport, was damaged sometime between 10.30pm on Saturday. May 27 and 6am on Sunday, May 28 (incident number 55230085097).
