Proposals for several new homes feature in Bridport area planning applications to Dorset Council this week.

They include an application at Deer Park Farm, Mutton Street, Marshwood for three self-contained holiday homes created by the conversion of an existing storage area.

At Stoke Knapp Far, Norway Lane, Stoke Abbott there is a similar application to convert an outbuilding into holiday accommodation, while in Swyre the council has received an outline application for a new home on land between 12 and 13 Puncknowle Road.

An agricultural workers home with two bedrooms and space for a farm office is being requested at Bennetts Hill Farm, Bennetts Hill Lane, Shipton Gorge. The building is in the form of a timber chalet.

Other applications in the area include an inset swimming pool and a wood terrace with stairs, together with the replacement of some windows and doors at Manor Farm, Higher Eype Road, Higher Eype.
