Roadworks: Here's what's planned across Bridport over the next week

Here are some of the planned roadworks over the next week that drivers should be aware of:

The A35 will be closed overnight from tonight (Tuesday) between Bridport and Dorchester from 8pm to 6am while Highways England carries out resurfacing works. Works are expected to take place on different parts of the A35 throughout July.

Wessex Water will be carrying out works in South Street from Tuesday, July 6 to Wednesday, July 7. There will be some carriage way incursion but is not expected to cause delays.

Works by SGN in Chestnut Road will continue until July 27. Works in that area are also taking place in Lake Lane until July 9 - where Wessex Water will also be working on the footway from Lake Lane to Westown from July 2 to 6 - and North Hill Way from July 12 to August 20.

BT will be carrying out works on Burton Road from July 6 to 8. There will be some carriageway incursion but delays are unlikely.

Drury Lane, Netherbury, will be closed until July 9 while Wessex Water carries out emergency works

Wessex Water will be carrying out roadworks along the A35 from Askerswell to Higher Combe on July 9 and delays are likely.

Cards Mill Lane, Whitchurch Canonicorum, will be closed on July 9 due to BT works. The diversion will be via Taphouse Lane, Poorhouse Lane, Mutton Street, Bluntshay Lane, Lower Street and Gassons Lane.

The road from the Pineapple Lane junction to the Ash Lane junction at Waytown will be closed from July 12 to 13 while BT carry out works. The diversion is Slape Hill, St James Road, Bridge Street, Drury Lane, A3066, Watford Lane and Pymore Lane.

Spyway Road will be closed on July 12 while Wessex Water carries out works. The diversion will be via Hembury Road and School Lane.
