Two drivers speeding at 91mph and 78mph in a 50 zone have been reported to court.

Dorset Police No Excuse Team was in Bridport yesterday (Tuesday) and the Beaminster area, where two cars were seized, one for no insurance.

A spokesman for Dorset Police No Excuse Team said: "The driver of the Ford Focus decided to use his partner's car to collect his son, however, he wasn't insured to drive any car as his provisional licence had expired. He was reported for court.

"Bridport was fairly uneventful, but we did stop two speeders on the A35 near Eype. One doing 78mph and the other 91mph in the 50mph zone.

"The one doing 91mph clearly had a good excuse, he was collecting a 'steering wheel' for his PlayStation. Both drivers reported for court.

"On the way back, we stopped a female driver on her way back from the KFC at Wimborne. No insurance and her licence had expired too. No secret recipe required to work this one out. Reported to court."
