With the fifth Bridport Folk Festival fast approaching, the organisers are seeking sponsors for the three-day event.

Taking place from July 22 to 24, the event will offer a huge range of entertainment.

Festival organiser Chris Deacon said: "The objectives of the festival are to bring a wealth of colourful and musical entertainment to the town, which derives great benefits from it, and to raise funds for local charities and worthy causes.

"The principal beneficiary this year being the local Burrough Harmony Centre, mental health project, a charity proven to be in great demand over recent years.

"With over 350 musicians and dancers, this year's folk festival is set to be the best yet."

The festival will feature open air performances throughout the town centre on seven stages, with dances from vibrant Morris sides, four concerts and several public dances.

Programmes and tickets will be on sale from July 14 from Bridport Tourist Information Centre.
