With lockdown restrictions easing again today, businesses, makers, traders, artists and more at St Michael's Trading Estate are reopening their shops, units, workshops and galleries this week.

With a large eclectic mix of trades and businesses at the renowned art and vintage quarter, there is something for everyone, and they can't wait to welcome you.

Artists Elizabeth Sporne and Sally Davies will be reopening their studio at the Tower Building. Sally will be there from Wednesday, April 14 and Elizabeth will be there at least on Saturdays from 11am to 3pm.

They said: "We can't wait. We'll have a sanitation station and everyone is expected to follow the rules as in a shop.

"We are looking forward to seeing people again and they will get a warm welcome."

Sam Withers-Payne will be reopening The Alleyways Antiques Centre today, seven days a week from 10am to 5pm.

She said: "It's nice to be getting back to a routine.

"One of the traders was in here getting ready and was just so excited to be back here. It makes such a difference to people. It's going to be good and will be lovely to see people back in.

"There will be social distancing signs out rather than a one-way system."

Tony at Vintage Market will be open 10am to 4pm on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

He said: "We're excited and positive, we can't wait to start greeting the public - we're happy to be back."

Nigel will be opening Clocktower Audio, in Clocktower Music - which opens on Wednesday - on Wednesday, April 15. Nigel will be there On Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 5pm offering repairs, amps, record decks, CD and tape players, Bluetooth radios and more.

He has been busy buying during the lockdown so there is a lot on offer, mainly focusing on low to mid-range equipment, and there's not much he can't do.

Sarah or Sarah Gee Ceramics will be able to continue teaching and welcome back students to her workshop.

She said: "I have a class starting on Wednesday morning and Thursday morning. I have a solid community of students who have been coming for years and they are excited to come back. We've missed interacting and it will be a bit of normality."

Sarah also sells her items on Saturdays in the shop adjoining her workshop from 10am to 4pm.

Tony will be opening Pebble today, from 10am to 4pm.

He said: "We've been quietly beavering away but taken the opportunity [of lockdown] to do work for ourselves - all those bits we've not been able to do - and get the place ready for reopening.

"We're very excited and I'm confident it will go back to how it was."

Fiona Neylan and Jenny Penney will reopen Studio 48 and Fiona Neylan Millinery on Wednesday, April 14 from 11am to 4pm. Thereafter it will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.

Find a range of headwear for all weathers and occasions, dresses, scarfs and accessories, as well as Jenny Penney's unique sculpted landscape drawings, paintings and photography.

Tina Keating will be reopening Tina's Retro Clothing on Wednesday, April 14 from 10am to 4pm and will then be open Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm. There will be a 'welcome back' offer for this first week of buy one item and get a second half price.
