Two bikes were stolen from properties in the Bridport area on the same day in July.

On Wednesday, July 19, sometime between 12am at 7am, a garage at a residence on West Bay Road was broken into and an electric bike was stolen (crime reference number 55230116335).

Later that same day, a grey and silver coloured mountain bike was stolen at approximately 2.45pm from outside a property in St Andrew's Road. The make of the mountain bike was Giant and it has 28-inch wheels with a plastic, silver mudguard on the front and and a rear black rack with two panniers with red stripe (crime reference number 55230112720).

Anyone with information on the above incidents is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting the relevant reference number.

Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.

Always call 999 in an emergency when there is a risk of harm or a crime in progress.
