A van has been destroyed after catching on fire in Bripdort.

A crew from Bridport Fire Station responded to the fire on St Swithins Road just before 4.45pm yesterday (Tuesday).

A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "On arrival, crews found a commercial van well alight. The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets, environment agency pack and thermal imaging camera. The local authority was also requested to lay down sand due to oils left on the road."
