The weather warning for Bridport over the weekend has been upgraded from yellow to amber.

The Met Office has announced the warning, which will come into effect from 12noon on Saturday until 6am on Sunday.

Heavy rain over the weekend is expected to bring some flooding and transport disruption.

According to the Met Office, homes and businesses are likely to be flooded, causing damage to some buildings, fast flowing or deep floodwater is likely, delays and some cancellations to train and bus services are likely, spraying and flooding can lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures and there is 'a good chance' some communities are cut off by flooded roads.
