Seven West Dorset eateries and one chef have made it into the prestigious Trencherman's Awards shortlist - and they need your help to make it as finalists.

The Club House in West Bexington, The Seaside Boarding House and Three Horseshoes Pub and Kitchen in Burton Bradstock, The Fox Inn in Corscombe, Acorn Inn in Evershot, Alexandra Hotel and Restaurant in Lyme Regis and Tom's Lyme Regis, as well as chef Mark Hix, are in the running to make it as finalists.

The Trencherman's Guide 'showcases exquisite and authentic South West dining experiences, so that foodies can discover special restaurants that are really worth seeking out'.

A spokesman for the Trencherman's Awards said: "The annual dining awards give gourmets the opportunity to champion their favourite chefs, restaurants, hotels, dining pubs and front of house teams.
