From traditional carols to DJ nights, there's plenty to keep you entertained in Bridport over the Christmas weekend.

Don't forget the annual West Bay Wallow on Boxing Day, and if you're still peckish after all that turkey, book a table at The Watch House or The Club House in West Bexington.

Friday, December 23

Bridport Festive Dance Walk – free and all welcome to join with festive attire options, starting from Rax Lane in Bridport at 4pm.

Christmas Meat Draw, Happy Hour & Live Music - get your festive celebrations off to a good start at The Ropemakers rom 6pm, with tickets costing just £1, followed by live music from Hang 11 at 9.15pm.

DJ Nic Sol - serving up amazing tunes into the early hours, at No 10 Cafe Bar from 10pm. 

Saturday, December 24 - Christmas Eve

St Mary's parkrun - for a guilt-free Christmas, join this weekly 5k run starting at St Mary's playing field from 9am.

Carols in the Garden - join in with traditional carols alongside candles and mulled apple juice at the Chapel in the Garden off east Street from 4.30pm.

Carols in the Courtyard - a festive sing-along with Bridport Choral Society in the courtyard at The Bull Hotel from 5pm.

Christmas Carol Service - all welcome for this service at St Mary and St Catherine's Catholic Church from 6pm.

DJ Santa - an electric selection of funk, soul, world music, blues, jazz and reggae at The Woodman from 8pm. 

DJ Prymarc - a marvellous mix of dance, trance, techno and drum and base at No 10 Cafe Bar from 10pm.

Sunday, December 25 - Christmas Day

Christmas Day Service - all welcome for this service at St Mary and St Catherine's Catholic Church from 8am.

Sunday, December 26 - Boxing Day

West Bay Wallow - blow off the Christmas cobwebs with this annual dip in the sea organising by Bridport Round Table at 12noon. 

Boxing Day Lunch - The Watch House on West Bay beach will be open for food and drink on Boxing Day so why not pop in after watching the Wallow? Or for something extra special, its sister restaurant The Club House inn West Bexington with be showing off the best of local seafood and something a little different to the traditional Christmas dishes with its Boxing Day menu. Don't forget to book!
