Start 'Living' this weekend

Living is the story of an ordinary man, reduced by years of oppressive office routine to a shadow existence, who at the eleventh hour makes a supreme effort to turn his dull life into something wonderful – into one he can say has been lived to the full. Starring Bill Nighy.

It will be screened at the Electric Palace on Friday, January 20 at 7.30pm.

Support Bridport's young creatives

Bridport Young People's Fringe will hold their first event on Saturday, January 21, with an afternoon of film screenings that celebrate dance.

'Celebrating Dance on Film' will be held at Bridport Arts Centre, starting at 2.30pm with a screening of 'Pina', Wim Wenders' portrait of legendary choreographer Pina Bausch, accompanied by short films from Bridport Youth Dance as well as the mature dancers' company Grace & Growl.

At 7.30pm there's the chance to see the feature 'Dancer', which charts the career of Ukrainian ballet star Sergei Polunin.

A new take on a family favourite

Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical is an inspirational musical tale of an extraordinary girl who discovers her superpower and summons the remarkable courage, against all odds, to help others change their stories, whilst also taking charge of her own destiny. Standing up for what's right, she's met with miraculous results.

Screening at The Electric Palace on Saturday, January 21 at 11am.
