All Weekend: Heritage Open Day

Buildings of cultural and historical interest across the country will be opening their doors to the public this weekend as part of Heritage Open Days, including several in the Bridport area. These will include Bridport Town Hall on Friday and Saturday; the Weld Memorial Chapel in Chideock all weekend; the Church of our Queen, Lady Martyrs & St Ignatius in Chideock on Friday and Sunday; Bridport Literary & Scientific Institute on Saturday; and West Bay Discovery Centre on Sunday.

Friday: Justin Moorhouse: Stretch & Think

Comedian Justin Moorhouse brings his brand new stand-up show, based on middle age, to The Electric Palace in Bridport on Friday, September 15. This is a reschedule event initially postponed in April and all original tickets are still valid. Last-minute tickets are also available.

Saturday: Parkour Performance

An exciting parkour performance will be at the Bridport Skatepark at Plottingham Fields from 3pm on Saturday, September 16.

Zoo Humans is a performance-parkour/dance/physical-theatre show for the whole family with workshops to try learn new skills yourself. Please note, in the event of wet weather, the show will be held in the gym of the Bridport Youth Community Centre.

Sunday: Harvest Lunch

St Andrew's Church at Burstock, near Broadwindsor, invites you to a Harvest Lunch on Sunday, September 17 12.30pm. You can pre-book your place by calling 01308 868083 by Friday, September 15.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £30 for a family ticket, and include a delicious ploughman's, choice of deserts, tea and coffee.
