What's On This Weekend in Bridport: Summer fairs and festivals in full swing!

Here's your Nub News weekly round-up of what's on in the Bridport area this weekend...

Friday: The Fabelmans
A coming-of-age story about a young man uncovering a shattering family secret and the power of film and imagination to help us see the truth about ourselves and each other. With a star-studded cast featuring Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Gabriel LaBelle and Judd Hirsch.
To be screened on Friday, July 21 from 7.30pm at Broadwindsor Comrades Hall. Entry is free for film club members and £4 for guests.
Saturday: Hogfest 2023
Hogchester Farm, near Charmouth, will be hosting Hogfest on Saturday, July 22 from 2pm to 10pm, with a programme of local bands to entertain us as we relax in the sun overlooking Charmouth and Jurassic Coast. Gourmet hotdogs, a coffee shop and a range of local ciders and beers will also be available, with tickets costing £12.
All proceeds will be shared between Hogchester conservation trust and Dorset wildlife trust to support the establishment of new meadows, through seed collection, land preparation, sowing and monitoring.
Saturday: Beamin' Family Festival
Poundbury Events presents the Beamin' Family Festival at beaminster School Field from 12noon to 10pm on Saturday, July 22. Enjoy 30-plus stalls, children's amusements and live music all afternoon, with a bar, cocktails and other refreshments. Entry is free!
Sunday: Monkton Wyld Dog Show
Monkton Wyld is holding a fundraising dog show raising money for local charities including Project Food and the Monkton Wyld Coping Stone Fund.
Classes range for all types of dogs and handlers. Please see our schedule for more information. There will also be a barbecue, tea and cakes, ice creams and village fete stands.
