Warm up this winter with scrumpy and western favourites, Skimmity Hitchers, as they return to Bridport.

Ropes on the Road is bringing the band to the WI Hall this November to bring a bit of cider-fuelled sunshine to the dark winter nights.

Event organiser Keith Hatch said: "The band is a Ropemakers regular which is as comfortable playing intimate pub gigs or headlining festivals across the South West - but they have never performed in a Woman's Institute hall… until now.

"This first for the band, and for Ropes on the Road, will be a night to remember and, with tickets limited, a night to boast about to your mates who left it too late."

Support on the night will come from John D Revelator and there will be a well-stocked bar from The Ropemakers.

The gig takes place on Wednesday, November 24, with doors opening at 7pm.

Advance tickets cost £10, plus a 60p booking fee, and are available from Bridport Tourist Information Centre or bridportandwestbay.co.uk
