From Page to Screen's sixth film has been decided and added to this year's line-up.

The Personal History of David Copperfield is based on the novel by Charles Dickens, screenplay by Simon Blackwell and Armando Iannucci and directed by Armando Iannucci.

Bridport Electric Palace received £25,000 from the Culture Recovery Fund

Bridport Electric Palace, Bredy Farm and Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company have benefitted from a share of £261million in the second round of the Government's Culture Recovery Fund.

Bredy Farm, near Burton Bradstock, hosts festivals as we as having a The Parlour restaurant and camping facilities, was awarded £25,000.

Sheep rescued by firefighters after walkers find it on other side of fence close to cliff edge

A sheep had to be rescued by firefighters yesterday (Saturday) after becoming stuck on the wrong side of the fence near the cliff.

A crew from Bridport Fires Station were called to Eype just before 2.15pm.

West Bay and Lyme Regis coastguard teams called to a dog over the cliff at Golden Cap

Coastguard teams from West Bay and Lyme Regis were called to Golden Cap this afternoon (Sunday) to reports a dog had gone over the cliff.

They were called just before 9am and the West Bay team was called as a 'technical' rescue would be required.

Dorset Police were called at 9.15am this morning (Saturday) to a report raising concern for the welfare of a man in West Bay.

A peaceful protest against the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill is taking place in Dorset today (Saturday).

Dorset Trade Union Council, Stand Up to Racism Dorset, Black Lives Matter, Unite, Extinction Rebellion and Weymouth Animal Rights are joining forces and meeting at 1pm at the Kings Statue in Weymouth. They will then be carrying out a march through the town centre.

Along with teams from across Dorset, they will be in known incident hotspots in the local area, maintaining an enhanced level of readiness should they be called on.
