The High Sheriff of Dorset has highlighted the inspirational work of some of the charities and groups he has been able to visit or Zoom, despite the pandemic.

Covid case rates, hospitalisations and deaths across Dorset are now below the average for England, with Dorset and Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) nearly equal.
Public Health Dorset reports there are 126 confirmed cases in the last seven days in the Dorset Council area, compared with 194 on March 5, and 127 in the BCP Council area, compared to 249 on March 5.

The films being shown at this year's From Page to Screen have been announced.
Tickets are on sale now for the three-day online film festival, taking place from April 22 to 24.
A Covid vaccination clinic will be held at Bridport Medical Centre tomorrow (Saturday) but the timings will be different.
Appointments will be between 12.30pm and 9pm for cohort 6 patients, those aged 16 to 65 with underlying health conditions and moving on to cohort 7, patients aged 60 to 64.

Police and coastguard officers were called to help a man on Cogden Beach yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police were called at 12.17pm on Thursday, March 11 to a report raising concern for the welfare of a man at Cogden Beach near Bridport.
Fire crews were called after a car crashed and flipped on a country lane, trapping a person inside.
Both Bridport fire engines attended Pymore Road this morning (Thursday) just after 11.10am.
