Parkers Property Consultants has a proud track record of supporting the local community and now Bridport Nub News is delighted to announce the estate agent as its exclusive property sponsor.

The team at the Bridport office is headed by branch manager Adam Summers, who helped launched Parkers in South Street back in October 2001.

Since then, the company has become the leading independent agent in the town and has built up a multi award-winning reputation for their high-quality service.

"With any small business, it's about the service you give and building that reputation - that's what we're trying to do," Adam said.

"Within our industry the internet has become a major part of it. It is a major tool, but you should still be proactive. We still use the traditional means, everybody in the office goes out and visits the properties we take on and proactively calls the people we have on the register - we don't just rely on the internet to do it for us.

"An estate agent's job is to actively sell and market a property properly and to take all the pressure away from our vendors.

"Property transactions can sometimes be lengthy, so the relationship with your agent and the service your agent gives is massively important. It's about looking after people and the team here consider this above all things."

The Bridport team is made up of Wendy Fleet who is highly respected locally for her experience, consideration, local knowledge and communication. Anna Carey is the latest addition to the team after relocating back with family during the pandemic. She previously worked in West Sussex as an agent and offers the team here her enthusiasm and determination. Additionally, both company directors are present offering hands on support and enjoy getting involved in the day to day workings of the office.

Parkers has targets like any other estate agent, but it's more about the customer service with both vendors and buyers, with many going away and recommending the team to others.

This has also been recognised in many clients taking the time to thank the team for their service and keeping them informed of new properties on the market, even if they did choose a home with a different agent.

Last year, Parkers won the Bridport Business Award for the most welcoming business and has received gold awards in the last two British Property Awards.

Adam added: "It's nice to have those things that show people do recognise your service."

Being a local, independent estate agent, Parkers are keen to get behind other local initiatives, groups and events.

Adam said: "I come from a journalistic background and we saw Nub News and, especially in Bridport, it has taken off really quickly.

"We like to support local things - we sponsor the golf club, we sponsor the football club, we've got involved with the arts centre previously, we sponsor the hat festival.

"Nub News is a really great idea and I can only see it growing and growing."

Karl Hancock, CEO of Nub News, said: "We are delighted to be partnering with a local, independent business such as Parkers.

"Its values are echoed throughout Nub News and we are so pleased to be working with the team and helping our readers find a home with Parkers."
