Run Jurassic 2022

Run Jurassic is back! This race has probably had the worst bad luck of all events, but we're hopeful that this year we can finally put on a full race weekend. In 2019, we had to cancel day 2 of running due to awful weather conditions, and both 2020 and 2021 were cancelled due to the impact of Covid.

As the official Jurassic Coast Running Festival, there's so much more to this event than just really good running routes. We want to help raise awareness of the importance of looking after the gorgeous coastline that we're lucky to have access to here in Dorset. We can't do this event this without the team at Jurassic Coast Trust who are an absolute joy to work with, and who are once again providing a great range of resources and on-site activities over the weekend to educate our runners and their families about the Jurassic Coast.

All race routes are very, very challenging and hilly, running along the South West Coastal Path (SWCP). It's certainly not for the faint hearted; it's a tough set of races, with some steep climbs, sharp descents and the most amazing views to reward yourself with.

Saturday 24th September

Both Saturday events are point-to-point races and finish at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park

8.00am- Run Jurassic Ultra (point to point from Durdle Door)

8.00am – Run Jurassic Marathon (point to point from Osmington Mills)

Sunday 25th September

All Sunday events start and finish at Freshwater Beach Holiday Park

8.00am – Run Jurassic Half Marathon

8.30am – Run Jurassic 10K

2.00pm – Run Jurassic Kids' Race
