A critically acclaimed, funny and moving oneperson play, Every Brilliant Thing invites you into a lifeaffirming story about depression, love and the small moments that keep us going.
When a sevenyearold's mum is hospitalised after "doing something stupid", the child begins a list of everything that's brilliant about the world—everything worth living for—and leaves it on her pillow. As the list grows through adolescence and adulthood, it becomes a powerful, communal way to communicate care when words are hard. Hailed by The Guardian as "one of the funniest plays you'll ever see about depression," this interactive production features a virtuosic performance by Romla Walker, sensitively directed by Margie Barbour, and raises funds for James' Place UK and the Samaritans.
Content advisory: discussion of suicide and depression. Age 15+.
