The Allington Hillbillies were out in force on Saturday (5 November) for the Celebration Weekend at Bridport Co-op, where they received a cheque for £2,667.98 donated by the Co-op from its Local Community Fund.

The cheque was presented by Lesley Windsor, Co-op Member Pioneer, and the money will go towards conservation work on the Hill as well as running nature clubs for local families and putting on a variety of community events next year.

The Hillbillies are a voluntary organisation working to preserve the beautiful environment of the Hill and to make it accessible to everyone in the community.

When Co-op members buy selected Co-op products and services, 2p for every £1 they spend goes into their Co-op Membership account. And Co-op gives the same amount to support community organisations and local causes.

Co-op Membership helps support Co-op's national charity partners and Local Community Fund causes. See www.coop.co.uk/membership.
