Laughter, carols and the Christmas story were shared with the community when the live Bridport nativity took place.

The annual Churches Together in Bridport and District event is a popular feature in the town's calendar and is held the Saturday before Christmas.

For the first time, organisers staged the show outdoors at St Mary's Church, South Street, and it proved to be a success.

The humorous take on the nativity entertained the crowds, which featured a very well-played door and a real donkey. The whole cast and organisers should be congratulated for a brilliant performance.
