Remembrance Sunday in Bridport was a bit different this year but people still came together to remember those who gave their lives.

There was no parade inspection by the mayor nor was it led by the Wessex Military Band down South Street to the war memorial.

However, dignitaries, veterans, councillors and representatives of local groups and organisations held a short service at the war memorial by St Mary's Church and wreathes were laid.

Residents came out and watched socially distanced along South Street.

The last post was sounded and a two-minute silence held at 11am.

The service concluded with everyone singing the National Anthem.

The service can be seen at bridport-tc.gov.uk or at Bridport Nub News' Facebook page.
