Bridport celebrated big and in style for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The four-day bank holiday was filled with street parties, barbecues, picnics, live music, garden parties and so much more, creating such a wonderful atmosphere throughout the town.

Beacons were lit on the Thursday evening at Coneygar Hill, Allington Hill, Thorncombe and Cliff Road in Burton Bradstock, all attracting crowds to join in on this momentous occasion.

The mayor of Bridport, Cllr Ian Bark made a proclamation in Bucky Doo Square after a special Jubilee cry from town crier John Collingwood.

Hive Beach Café invited the Decadettes to sing for customers and visitors, performing tunes throughout the decades. This was followed by Julie Dunn and Friends performing at its sister site, The Club House in West Bexington, on Sunday.

There was a great atmosphere and community spirit across all the garden parties, picnics and events we had the pleasure to attend - Bradpole's Jubilee celebrations on Gore Cross Recreation Park, Wendy Thorogood's garden party, Burton Bradstock Jubilee fayre, Allington Hill hog roast and many more.

People braved the wet weather to continue celebrations on the Sunday with the Jubilee picnic on Mountfield lawn with live music from local musicians - with the great British weather!

Well done to everyone who organised events, it truly was a great celebration and was so lovely to see people coming together again.
