St Michael's Trading Estate has presented an award in memory of its founder Clive Hayward to the West Dorset Magazine.

The trading estate presents the Clive Hayward Award annually as part of its ongoing objectives to support start-up and small, independent businesses in the Bridport area.

At an awards ceremony in February, the West Dorset Magazine won both the New Business of the Year category and Overall Business of the Year.

Winners and sponsors of the Bridport Business Awards were invited to a networking lunch reception at Bridport Town Hall last week, where Martin Ridley of St Michael's Trading Estate added to the Clive Hayward Award to the magazine's accolades.

Nigel Reeve of Bridport Business Awards said: "Thanks Martin and we know it's in memory of a wonderful Bridport businessman, Clive Hayward, who started St Michael's Trading Estate giving so many entrepreneurs a start in business."
