The crew at Bridport Fire Station is urging drivers to park considerately after it was delayed responding to a property fire.

One engine was called to Bothenhampton just after 7.15pm on Monday, September 20.

A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "Unfortunately, we were delayed by several minutes due to cars parked in a narrow road, making it impassable for the appliance.

"Please, when parking your vehicle, take a second to think whether a large vehicle can get through.

"Thank you to the owners who moved their cars and alerted others.

"Every second counts."
