Two crews from Bridport Fire Station were called to house fire in Hibernia Close this morning.

They were called, along with a crew from Charmouth, just after 9.30am.

The incident involved cooking and was quickly extinguished by removal and ventilation of the property.

Bridport was also one of four fire crews called to a fire this afternoon which has completely destroyed two caravans.

Fire appliances from Weymouth and Dorchester, with a water browser from Bridport, were called to Goulds Hill, near Weymouth, just after 2.30pm and used hose reel jets to put out the fire.
