South West Kick Boxing (SWKB) ladies' class had its first grading - and it was a great success.

The ladies' class has been running now for around four months and is run by Claire Hyde, who is a 2nd Dan Black Belt.

For most of the group this was their first attempt at grading which was conducted by SWKB instructor Mike Rowling, 4th Dan Black Belt.

Mike said: "Through the session they had to perform many techniques without any prior demonstration. They all worked really hard and as instructors, we are really proud of the dedication and commitment they are showing in such a short time."

They all achieved red belts, apart from one student who has been training longer in other classes with SWKB and has achieved her green belt.

The classes take place at Bridport Youth and Community Centre on Mondays at 7.30pm for an hour and is suitable for all abilities. New students are welcomed all the time and are offered a free trial class.

As well as ladies only classes, there are also kids and mixed adult sessions. For more information, follow SWKB on Facebook.
