More than £1,600 was raised in this year's Easter Egg Raffle with the Lions Ukraine Appeal as the main beneficiary.

Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) has already awarded more than $854,000 to local Lions clubs both in Ukraine and in countries dealing with the influx of refugees.

Thirteen local businesses raffled a Thornton's Hoppy Easter Collection and our thanks goes to Haddon House Hotel Ltd, Hair by David, Steve's Barber Shop, Designers Edge, The Clock Inn, The Kings Head, Washingpool Farm, Oddfellows, The Pymore Inn, The Half Moon Melplash, The Crown Inn in Uploaders, Dexters in Beaminster and the Anchor Inn in Burton Bradstock.
