Bridport Lions Club raffled Easter eggs to raise more than £1,570 for local food banks

Bridport Lions Club has raised more than £1,570 for three local food banks through its recent Easter egg raffle.

A total of 20 Thornton's Marvellously Magnificent Easter Eggs were raffled in the weeks leading up to Easter, with the main beneficiaries being three local food bank services – Cupboard Love Bridport, Beaminster and Lyme Regis.

Haddon House Hotel Ltd, Hair by David, Steve's Barber Shop, Designers Edge, The Clock Inn, Main St, Chideock, The Kings Head, Washingpool Farm, Oddfellows, The Crown Inn In Uploders, The Anchor Inn at Seatown, The Marquis of Lorne Nettlecombe, Dorset, Felicity's Farm Shop, West Bay Hotel, The George Inn at Chideock, Tiger Inn Bridport, Ilchester Arms Symondsbury, Waves Hair Studio and the The Anchor Inn - Burton Bradstock.

Bridport Lions Club recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, having raised more than £250,000 for local good causes during that time.
