A driver had to cut from a van after it drove into the back of a lorry in East Street.

Two Bridport fire crews were called this morning (Thursday) just after 7.35am to the crash outside the Olive Tree restaurant.

A spokesman for Bridport Fire Station said: "One panel van had driven into the rear of a stationary lorry.

"Crews used pedal cutters and small tools to release the driver, who was then left in the care of the ambulance service."
