Bridport Nub News is pleased to announce a partnership with its latest sponsor Gavin Dixon Finance Solutions.

Having grown up in Bridport with a background in farming, Gavin Dixon has worked in the finance sector since 2001 and has more than 20 years experience in the business to business finance market, specialising in the agricultural industry.

He has worked for two of the largest finance companies in the UK, BNP Paribas Lease Group and Hitachi Capital Business Finance, working his way up to the national role of broker relationship manager before deciding to leave the corporate world and set up his own business in his hometown.

Gavin Dixon Finance Solutions (GDFS) was established in 2013 and, as it marks its 10th anniversary, has now grown to be able to offer an estimated £10million worth of funding to its clients this year.

How Gavin Dixon Finance Solutions can help your business grow

Now based in Pymore, near Bridport, the company supports small, medium and large businesses across the West County and further afield with a range of finance solutions that will help them to increase productivity without affecting their cash flow.

Acting as a broker in asset-based funding, they help companies to purchase, lease or hire anything from tractors and other vehicles, to tools and print machinery – if it's identifiable, resealable and removable, it's financeable.

While they specialise in the agricultural industry, GDFS also supports construction, haulage, engineering and various other commercial business sectors in finding the right finance solution to meet their individual requirements, with access to 48 finance companies to get the best deal for customers.

As an appointed representative of Rural Finance Limited, GDFS is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Their ethos is to excel in friendly and reliable customer service, rather than taking a 'pushy sales' approach, resulting in a lot of a repeat business as they focus on building relationships with their valued clients.

Supporting the Bridport community

In 2019, Gavin expanded his company to take on and train new finance broker Tom Elliott, who also grew up in the local area, and he hopes to expand further with an apprenticeship scheme in the near future.

Sharing Nub News' ethos of supporting the community, Gavin Dixon Finance Solutions has regularly sponsored local events and good causes, including the Melplash Show, Jurassic Fields, Bridport Beer Festival, Buckham Fair, Powerstock School, Bridport Round Table and local business awards across West Dorset.

Gavin said: "I grew up in the community so I firmly believe in now giving something back to the community."

The next event that he will be taking part in is the West County Farming & Machinery Show where Gavin Dixon Finance Solutions will have a stand. The event will be held at Westpoint Arena, Exeter, on Wednesday, February 22 and tickets are now available at westcountryfarmmachineryshow.co.uk
