Planning applications in and around Bridport out for consultation this week include:

P/FUL/2022/0087

Alterations to facilitate the change of use of attached garage to 1.no dwelling for holiday use.

The applicant wants to convert an attached double garage into a self-contained holiday accommodation to be used as an Air B&B.

Comments can be made on this application until March 3.

P/HOU/2022/00749

Demolition of lean-to extension and summer house and erection of two-storey side extension, including raised decking area and external steps.

The applicant wants to move the extension away from the A35, with the new extension allowing the home to have more rooms and living space.

P/COU/2021/03034

Change of use and conversion of existing outbuildings to 1.no dwelling and art studio and creation of secondary pedestrian access to service curtilage of existing dwelling.

The applicant wants to convert a former agricultural outbuilding into one-bed accommodation with an artist studio with additional pedestrian access.

P/VOC/2022/00049

Variation of condition 2 of planning permission APP/F1230/C/09/2114344 and variation of condition 1 of planning permission APP/F1230/C/09/2116510 to allow year-round holiday accommodation save between January 31 and February 13.

Golden Acre Holiday Park in Eype wants its chalets to be able to be occupied year-round, except from January 31 to February 13.

Various internal and external alterations including replacement of 2.no windows, entrance doors and roof light; removal of studwork, sloping ceiling to attic and fit insulation; enlargement of fireplace opening; replacement of cement raised strap pointing with lime mortar.

To reduce the carbon footprint of the property, the applicant wants to replace two windows, the front door, remove a studwork partition on the ground floor inside and install one to divide the kitchen, as well as open up the fireplace.

Erect garden room and install glazed balcony on north elevation of dwelling.

The applicant wants to install a garden room to provide an enclosed seating area and store, providing views of the tennis court and garden area, and the balcony will also provide sheltered seating with views over the garden.
