A specialist plant fair is returning to Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens this month.

A great day out for gardeners is planned for Sunday, September 12 and organised by Plant Heritage Dorset.

There will be an opportunity to buy plants direct from the growers, as well as getting their invaluable tips and advice, with a range of late summer and autumn plants on offer, including late flowering perennials, shrubs, ornamental grasses, alpines, succulents and rare and unusual specimens.

There will also be wildlife and craft stalls, bee and honey products, lots of plants to attract pollinators and a refreshment stall.

Profits from the day go towards supporting plant conservation and education in the county.

The fair will take place from 10am to 3pm and the £7 admission includes the chance to wander the 30-acre gardens until 5pm.

Tickets can be bought in advance from abbotsburytickets.co.uk or bought on the gate.
