Bridport Town Council has given its support to a planning application for a new gym in Bridport.

Applicants are seeking the change of use of a unit at Dreadnought Trading Estate into a gym.

Guy Tetley, engineer at Dorset Council, the highway authority, said: "Before the highway authority can make its formal recommendation, the following amendment should be noted. Submission of a plan showing cycle parking provision - this could be achieved by using a wall mounted solution within the building."

Bridport Town Council supported the plans and expected the comments by the highway authority to be accommodated.

The planning application states the gym will be open from 6.30am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 9pm on Saturday and 10am to 3pm on Sunday. Plans show the eight parking spaces will be retained.

The application can be found here
