Tributes have been pouring in for an inspirational, phenomenal and gentle man.

Simon Jordan, of Bridport, died on Sunday, December 18.

Simon ran 5 Things Clear and organised regular beach cleans at West Bay, being instrumental in keeping our coastline clean and tidy, dedicating his life to making a difference.

He made a big impact in the community, with groups and individuals taking to social media to pay tribute.

A member of the team at Clean Jurassic Coast CIC said: "Simon was a gentleman and a gentle man, he was generous and he was an adventurer. He only wanted to do good and he did so whilst inspiring many to join him.

"His energy will live on in us, his fellow beach cleaners, swimmers and lovers of the outdoors. He only ever had a positive effect on everybody he met.

"His book, 'Simplicity of Success - Life in Flow' is the epitome of understanding our lives and where we should be heading. Simon was so in tune with his energy and its relationship with all energy. Truly a phenomenal bloke.

"Missing you already bro. Sorry you never got to complete your missions but we will follow in your footsteps and keep your flame burning."

A spokesman for West Bay Discovery Centre said: "We are shocked and saddened to hear this news. Simon brought great energy and belief to everything he did. He was a great campaigner for cleaning up beaches and preventing litter. He was a friend and supporter of the discovery centre. We will miss him greatly."

Litter Free Dorset - Land, Coast and Sea also paid tribute to an inspiring, kind and positive man.

A spokesman said: "Simon was an inspiration for us all and a huge part of the litter free community. Simon, who ran 5 Things Clear in West Bay, cared deeply for our planet and did so much to help reduce litter and marine pollution. Simon was a very kind man with vast amounts of infectious positivity.

"Simon will be missed."

The team at the International Association of Bookkeepers (IAB) also paid tribute.

A spokesman said: "Simon has been a real friend of the IAB and played an integral role in growing awareness of the organisation over the last three years, hosting our coffee mornings, arranging podcasts and updating our marketing materials. Not only that, but he was part of our recent charity cycle ride, helping us to raise over £10,000 for the Normandy Memorial Trust.

"His cheery face on board his motorbike was a welcome site for our team as they made their way up to Staffordshire.

"All of us at the International Association of Bookkeepers are in deep shock at Simon's passing and would like to extend our deepest sympathies to all his family and friends. He will be very sorely missed."

There will be a beach clean in his memory on January 2 in West Bay, meeting at The Watch House at 10am. Everyone is welcome to attend.
