The fun Christmas trail in Walditch returns on Saturday, raising funds for the Lower Walditch Play Area and Community Orchard.

Find letters in the windows of homes in Howard Road, Gundry Road and Howard Close to reveal a festive message, while also enjoying the lights and decorations.

Organisers are hoping to build on the success of last year's trail, which raised £401, by adding a decorated window competition for residents, which will be judged by Bridport mayor, councillor Ian Bark.

Goodie bags containing a map and festive treats for children are available from Bridport Tourist Information Centre for a suggested £4 donation.

A spokesman for the event said: "Kind donations and support received from the Tourist Information Centre, Footeprints, Morrisons, Toymaster and Waitrose have made this possible.

"We are hopeful that the community will enjoy our lovely activity - which has the added bonus of being Covid safe - to spread a little Christmas cheer again this year."
