Many business owners have had to adapt and find innovative ways to continue making a living during the coronavirus pandemic.

So, when the reins were pulled on The Fizzy Filly in March last year, Amy Mudford had to think of a way to still get the delights of the bar to people.

As well as owning her own hair salon, HARE in South Street, Amy and her husband converted a horse box into a mobile bar back in 2019.

They had just started to take bookings and managed some events in their first year, with plans for weddings, food festivals and more to carry on in 2020.

Amy said: "Obviously this all changed when Covid happened and so not only did I have to close my salon three times in 2020, I also had to cancel all my events booked in The Fizzy Filly.

"I was thinking of different ideas that I could do alongside home-schooling and came up with the idea of sending some Fizzy Filly love into your homes."

Amy created a range of bespoke gift boxes, filled with the goodies and alcohol of your choice. Boxes for Mother's Day are also available.

They have proved popular during the lockdowns and will continue event when they get back to taking The Fizzy Filly to events.

Amy is now taking bookings for The Fizzy Filly for 2020/21 and can cater for any event, including weddings, birthdays, christenings, food and drink festivals, shows and more.

The horsebox bar provides alcohol, hot and cold drinks, light snacks, afternoon teas, cakes and a speciality of cream teas.

HARE will also reopen on April 12.

Amy added: "My business partner Lianne and I can't wait to get back into the salon."
