The road through North Allington is now open - ahead of schedule.

Wessex Water was carrying out sewage works on the road and rolling closures were set to be in place from February 8 to March 12.

Access to Bridport Community Hospital and Washingpool Farm Shop is now open from West Road.

The team at Washingpool Farm has welcomed to early finish.

A spokesman for Washingpool Farm said: "We have had a pretty quiet month, but thank you to all who have made their way to us or placed an order to collect. A big thank you as well to Bridport Town Council who allowed us to meet customers in the Football Club car park for a special order and collect service.

"The farm shop is open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm. Our order and collect service is available as well - orders can be collected from the farm shop car park with contactless collection if you prefer - Tuesday to Friday. We also have our market stall in Bridport every Saturday, near the Post Office.

"In light if the recent government announcements, we are in the process of reviewing re-opening the Farmer's Kitchen Café - April is not renowned for weather suitable for al fresco dining. We will update customers as soon as we are able."
