Do you think you could take on the West Dorset Three Peaks Challenge?

West Dorset Leisure Holidays has put together a circular walking route that takes in three of the area's highest and most prominent landmarks - Thorncombe Beacon, Golden Cap and Colmer's Hill.

The 9.3-mile hike is a brilliant challenge for both holidaymakers and locals to take on, with a leaderboard of how quickly the walk is completed. Enjoy the amazing views and when you complete the challenge, email [email protected] with your time and photos so you can be added. Currently, the quickest time is two hours and 16 minutes.

Some people have even run the route with the current leading time coming in at one hour 22 minutes.

Of course it is not a race, enjoy it over the course of the day, and there is no obligation to submit your time or even time yourself.

You can start at either Highlands End Holiday Park in Eype or Golden Cap Holiday Park - or join it wherever suits you - and there are a number of refreshments stops along the route, including Martin's Bar and Restaurant at Highlands End Holiday Park, Downhouse Farm Café, The Anchor Inn at Seatown, The George Inn at Chideock and Symondsbury Estate.

Please take care while walking along the coast path as cliffs are very unstable, so please stay away from the edge and keep dogs on leads when near cliffs and around livestock.

The stretch up Hell Lane in north Chideock is very muddy and wet, especially from October to April. An alternative route would be to walk through the village towards Bridport alongside the A35, past the George Inn and follow the footpath sign up to the top of Quarr Hill where it meets the top of Hell Lane.
