A person was taken to hospital after a crash involving one car on the A35 East Road in Bridport on Sunday (22 January).

Firefighters were called to the scene at 11.10am, where they found that the car had gone through a fence and into a garden.

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle before fire crews arrived.

A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "The seventh call out this week for Bridport crews was to a single vehicle road traffic collision on East Road.

"Police and ambulance attended.

"Crews made the scene safe and the driver was taken by land ambulance to hospital."
