Coronavirus-related deaths and cases rise in Dorset but "data is beginning to level off".

Since November 7, until November 18, there have been 12 coronavirus-related deaths in Dorset.

The week from November 7, Public Health Dorset report the case rate per 100,000 of the population is 111 in the Dorset Council area, compared with 96.4 reported last week.

In the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) area, this is 239.5 per 100,000 of the population, compared with 214.5 last week.

Confirmed cases in the Dorset Council area have gone up from 365 to 420 and up to 947 from 848 in the BCP area.

There are currently 137 Covid-19 patients in hospital beds in Dorset, compared to 126 last week.

A spokesman for Public Health Dorset said: "We are starting to see the impact of the national restrictions on our local situation with data beginning to level off, but this will become clearer in the next couple of weeks.

"We need everyone to follow the guidance, stay at home as much as possible and avoid contact with others in order to bring our cases down and out us in the best position for the end of national measures."
