Crews from Bridport, Charmouth and Axminster were called to a barn fire at Wootton Fitzpaine on Thursday, May 24.

The crews were called at 8.35pm, with one pumping appliance and the water carrier from Bridport attending.

On arrival it was found that an electrical unit was on fire inside the barn.

Crews made the scene safe until the arrival of the electricity board.

Once the electric had been disconnected crews extinguished the fire

The Bridport crew were called out again on Thursday morning after a 16-year-old boy dislocated his knee climbing over a fence.

The crew were called at 9.42am and stabilised the casualty, administering first aid and oxygen until the arrival of an ambulance.

Due to the location of the casualty it was deemed necessary to remove the fence and extract the casualty through a field to the ambulance.
