First Bus has extended its open top Jurassic Coaster route for the summer

Just in time for summer, First Bus South's popular open-top Jurassic Coaster bus route X50 has been extended to run all the way through Wareham, Corfe Castle and Swanage.

One of Dorset's most scenic routes allows customers to hop on to take in the sights of Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, and the beautiful Purbecks.

The extension to the route for summer means that until Saturday September 2, the X50 Jurassic Coaster service will run buses through to Wareham, Corfe Castle and Swanage hourly during the daytime, seven days a week.

This summer, passengers can travel for just £2 for a single journey on the famous route, offering exceptional value for money.

Details of the route and times can be found here

Tickets can be purchased on the First Bus app or via the driver, cash or contactless.

First Bus South managing director, Simon Goff, said: "The Jurassic Coaster X50 is one of our most loved routes. We're delighted to be extending the X50 route for the summer season to allow customers to get a bird's eye view of some of Dorset's most beautiful scenery.

"With the current £2 fare cap still in place this summer, passengers have the chance to take these journeys at exceptional value for money."
