After a successful fundraising campaign to save a community hall, supporters are invited to find out more about the hall's future.

The Crowdfund appeal to save St Mary's Church House Hall exceeded its target of £10,000, raising an incredible £10,210 by the time the fundraiser closed last Monday.

The campaign attracted 106 donations from 91 supporters and qualified for £5,000 additional funding from Power to Change.

The committee has expressed its thanks to all those local supporters - and a few from further afield - who rallied to the call so generously.

The hall's committee will hold its AGM on Friday, May 21 in a Covid-secure way in the hall off South Street from 5.15pm. Representatives of hirers past and present are invited to attend, together with anyone interested in the hall's future.

Anyone wanting to attend should contact the chairman on 01308 423442 or email [email protected]
